Five hiking friends went to the rescue. We all didn’t know each other, but it was a blast! In the three days and two locations I completed 15-miles. I didn’t make it as far as I would ...

I bought a parachute buckle and sporting good belting for $7 (had 50% off 1 item) to DIY a hip belt onto my current hydration bag that I use for hiking. Saved me $100 for new hydration bag. I love my current bag, so it was easy to go with the DIY choice.   Bonding time with the child means enjoying Peanut Butter shakes at our favorite burger shack. This time around ...

July 27 – August 23 August was hard on my brain, y’all. Crashing hard drive, friends with expensive tastes. And when it started to unravel I threw my hands up and let the finances go with regards to my food expenses. Technology: In being a sole provider with limited funds has made me quite the renaissance woman. I’ve learned to replace broken cellphone parts and replace computer parts when they crash. ...

June 29 – July 26 I have come to the conclusion that my life during debt repayment is Boring! I know we still partake in activities. But they are far and few in between now and methodically thought out (like our annual summer festival and a concert in Fall). Other than that,  most of the fun consists of cleaning house, maintaining my house plants, cooking up new meals, taking walks around ...

Groceries for 2 on $120 per week or less – an attempt to eat healthy and stay in budget. I totally and completely got this post idea from Frugal Stepping Stones. Check out her blog as she feeds a family of 5 on $150 per week! And I am going to say it front – I FAILED to stay in budget this week. One should not start a budgeted grocery haul on ...
