Managing Cashflow Sucks My profit for this month came in at around $1,700, not bad for about 10 hours of work!  My most recent product I launched on Amazon was a new, unique type of sunglasses but unfortunately it’s not doing very well.  I’m selling for around $30-$40 but the competition is so insane that my advertising fees are eating up all of my profit.  It sucks because I have a ...

Selling on Amazon for Passive Income On Thursday morning I started the drive down to Virginia, staying just outside of Washington D.C. for a wedding.  I love hiking and backpacking and found a park right by our hotel called Prince William Park which is a national forest.  I got out there at 5PM and was greeted by this awesome view as we entered the trailhead for an evening hike. I went on ...

May 2017 Results – $17k in Sales and $4k in Profit May saw a dip in sales from last month which was over $20k.  I had several products go out of stock and I’m waiting for the new stock to arrive.  I also had 2 new products launch this month which are both selling well so far and took some huge expenses last month to get them shipped to the Amazon ...

Outsourcing the Grunt Work Creating a niche site as a side hustle can be a great way to earn some extra income on the side.  The best part is once you have the site built up, you don’t have to keep working on it to earn money.  It will make money around the clock, even when you’re asleep or at your day job. The hard part is getting to the point where ...

April 2017 Side Hustle Update April was a great month for sales on Amazon.  I did just over $27,000 in sales and got back in stock on some of my best selling products.  Profitability took a hit this month for a few different reasons I’ll expand on below. I’ve signed up for a service named Fetcher which calculates my profit by subtracting product costs, shipping costs, and advertising spend.  The only thing ...

What to Look for in a Broker There are a ton of brokerages out there, you’ve probably seen ads on TV with a talking baby or an old person who looks so happy to be paying $7.95 per trade. The truth is that any brokerage that spends a ton of money advertising on TV has to be making up for that with what they charge you in commissions.  The less money your brokerage ...

Busy, Busy, Busy Things have been crazy busy lately so I’ve been spending more time working on my business than updating on the blog.  I’m going to knock out updates for both January and February and cut out some of the extra details. January & February – $41,310 in Sales As I detailed in my last blog post, I’ve stumbled on a new product that is selling like crazy.  I had my best single ...

New Product Ideas One of the hardest parts of starting a side business is coming up with the idea.  Since I’ve figured out what my side hustle is (selling on Amazon), the next part is figuring out what I should be selling. I’ve covered the topic before, but it’s still a tough process finding the right […] ...
